About Scrap&Sip
Scrap&Sip was born from a simple belief: creativity should be healing, joyful, and connected to a diverse community. Located in San Francisco's vibrant Mission District, we're more than just a creative wellness venue – we're a space where art meets activism and every craft session becomes an act of community support and healing.
We specialize in creative wellness activities that invite you to slow down, create with your hands, and connect with others. But what makes us truly special is our carefully curated collection of arts and crafts supplies and gifts sourced largely from BIPOC and women-owned small businesses. When you create with us, you're not just making something beautiful – you're supporting a network of incredible entrepreneurs and artists who pour their hearts into every product.
Our cozy inspiring space in the heart of the Mission welcomes everyone, from experienced crafters to complete beginners. We believe that creativity is a birthright, not a talent reserved for the few. Whether you're joining us for a journaling workshop, picking up unique supplies for your next project, or simply browsing our thoughtfully curated collection, you'll find that Scrap&Sip feels like the creative sanctuary you didn't know you were looking for.
Meet Natalia
Behind Scrap&Sip is Natalia, a proud Mexican-American daughter of an immigrant who grew up in San Francisco and believes deeply in the power of creativity to heal, connect, and transform communities.
With 15+ years of experience delivering elevated experiences across diverse sectors – from Capitol Hill and presidential campaigns to the tech world – Natalia brings a unique blend of operational expertise and community-first values to everything she does. She spent four years growing event programs at One Medical during the company's exponential growth, IPO, and Amazon acquisition, and currently supports business development at a venture firm, focusing on program building and portfolio growth.
But Natalia's deepest understanding of creativity's power comes from her own healing journey. After five years of traumatic experiences, she discovered scrapbooking and creative journaling as lifelines – tools that helped her process, heal, and rebuild. Crafting became an integral part of her mental health journey, offering not just creative expression but a pathway back to herself. This personal transformation opened her eyes to the profound therapeutic potential of creative practice.
As a San Francisco native raising her own family in the city she loves, Natalia founded Scrap&Sip to create the kind of space she wished had existed during her most difficult times – one where her neighbors could find community, discover healing through creativity, and support businesses that reflect the beautiful diversity of their community. She wanted to ensure that others wouldn't have to navigate their mental health journeys alone, without the tools and community that creativity can provide.
"I wanted to create more than just a craft store," Natalia explains. "I wanted to build a pretty space where creativity becomes a bridge – connecting us to ourselves, to each other, and to the incredible entrepreneurs who are often overlooked by traditional retail. Every product we carry has a story, and every person who walks through our door becomes part of our story."
When she's not at Scrap&Sip, you'll find Natalia running around at extracurricular activities with her kids or exploring vendor markets with her husband, always on the lookout for the next amazing artist or maker to feature in the shop.
